Our Story

Where the Workshop
Meets the Home

Creative Backyard Woodworking was born from a simple belief: the best things in a home are the ones made with intention. Based in Louisville, we bring years of hands-on craftsmanship to every project — from a single restored chair to a complete kitchen renovation.

We work with you, not for you. Every piece we build and every repair we make starts with understanding your space, your needs, and the character you want your home to carry. No rush jobs. No shortcuts. Just honest work that stands the test of time.

Whether it's a custom dining table for family gatherings, built-in shelving that maximizes a awkward corner, or the repair that saves a favorite piece from the dump — we treat every project as if it were our own home.
